Around 2005, he decided to do a solo album, called In My Mind. The album includes some famous tracks including "Can I Have It Like That" ft. Gwen Stefani and "Number One" ft. Kanye West. Later on in 2014, he released Girl, which includes famous singles like "Happy" and "Come Get It Bae."

"Frontin'" was Williams his first solo single from the album, The Neptunes Presents....Clones. The song peaked a number five on Billboard Hot 100 and also peaked at number one in Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
