Mixed martial arts and UFC star Conor McGregor announced on Tuesday on Twitter that he has decided to retire young.

McGregor is in Iceland to train for UFC 200 where he is scheduled to fight Nate Diaz in the main event. It is unlikely that McGregor is actually retiring since he would have a seven or eight-figure payday for fighting Diaz, according to Fox Sports. This isn’t the first time that McGregor has made news on Twitter. He inducted himself into the UFC Hall of Fame on Twitter once.

"I have decided to retire young," McGregor tweeted. "Thanks for the chess. Catch ya's later."

In March McGregor lost to Diaz at UFC 196. It was his first loss in the UFC and his first professional loss since November 2010. He has 19 wins and three losses in 22 career fights, according to Express. He is a UFC featherweight champion. Diaz responded to McGregor’s tweet saying that his work here is done and that he’s retiring too.

The UFC hasn’t confirmed that McGregor is actually retiring. McGregor’s fight with Diaz at UFC 200 is scheduled for July 9.
