Chris Noth’s mother and CBS correspondent Jeanne Parr dies at 92

Law & Order actor Chris Noth is mourning the loss of his mother Jeanne Parr, who passed away on Monday, May 23. She was 92.

People was the first to confirm the news of her death.

Parr was not only known for being the mother to one of Sex and the City’s leading men, but she also was a pioneer in journalism. She got her start in radio and TV in Wisconsin and later moved to New York where she worked as a weather girl on the Jim Jensen Show before becoming one of CBS’ first full-time female correspondents. She then landed her very own talk show in 1978.

After her time on TV, she produced several documentaries.

Parr is survived by her three children.
