Adam Sandler will lend his voice, write and produce an untitled animated movie for STX Entertainment.

STX is focused on creating movie projects that are geared toward families and they will have at least 12 to 15 movies coming out each year, one of which will be courtesy of Sandler and his Happy Madison Production team.

Sandler recently co-executive produced and voiced the lead in Sony's two Hotel Transylvania films (the sequel, of which, he co-wrote as well). Both movies are the biggest in Sandler's career and have grossed over $830 million worldwide. A third one is scheduled for 2018.

"Happy Madison is one of the most consistently successful and talented producers of family entertainment working in the business today," said chairman of the STX Entertainment Motion Picture Group Adam Fogelson. He also stated that Sandler has had "wonderful ideas" about how he what he would like to develop with STX and that they were looking "forward to working with him, Allen Covert and the entire Happy Madison team."

Sandler will next be seen opposite David Spade in Netflix's The Do-Over and will star in writer/director Noah Baumbach's (Mistress America, While We're Young) next picture along with Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson.
