CBS' CSI: Cyber has been canceled after just two seasons.

The show wasn't doing very well for CBS. It managed to get 8.5 million viewers and only got a 1.5 rating, according to The Wrap.

The series starred Patricia Arquette, James Van Der Beek and Shad Moss, also known as Bow Wow. Ted Danson, who was in the first CSI, starred in CSI: Cyber after the original show ended in September 2015.

The show lost it's time slot to Elementary earlier in the year, which aired on Sunday nights at 10 p.m. It then moved to a temporary time slot on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on March 2 and March 9.

CSI: Cyber was the the last spin-off of the franchise, according to Variety, officially ending it. The original CSI aired in 2000 and lasted for 15 years. There were other spin-offs, including CSI: Miami, which ended in 2012 after 10 seasons, and CSI: NY, which ended in 2013 after nine seasons.

Even though the show ended with only two seasons, it still made a lot of money for cooperate standards, according to Deadline. It made money internationally through the CSI franchise and that made a business case for a renewal. However, it wasn't enough to save the series.
