Actress Lucy Lui and rapper Snoop Dogg are now joining the cast for James Franco's Future World.
Franco is co-directing with Bruce Cheung, reported AV Club. The actor will also be in the film with Suki Waterhouse, Method Man, Margarita Levieva, Jeffrey Wahlberg and Milla Jovovich.
Chueng and Franco wrote the screen play for the film, going back to the original story that Franco wrote, according to Variety. The story is about a young prince from the Oasis, the last of the safe havens and his robot friend, Ash. They go on a journey of self-discovery through the violent and desolate world of the Wasteland.
Ambi Group, which is owned by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi, will be financing the film in association with Fyzz Facility and Black Sparrow. Dark Rabbit Productions will be producing, producers include Iervolino, Bacardi, Vince Jolivette and Jay Davis.
“Future World is a mesmerizing story with the kind of boundary-pushing creativity unique to James,” Iervolino said, “When you have the combined talents and gravitas of Milla, Lucy, Method Man, Suki, Snoop, and James interwoven through a wild story – what unfolds on screen is unreal.”
Ambi Distribution will be handling the global sales.
