Actor Michael Keaton will be joining the cast of Spider-man: Homecoming and he will be playing the villain.

The villain for the movie is unknown, reported Entertainment Weekly, however, there is another report saying the the villain might be The Vulture.

Keaton will be working with Tom Holland, who plays Spider-man, and Marisa Tomei, who plays Aunt May. Other cast members include Zendaya, Tony Revolori and Laura Harrier.  So far, their roles are not announced.

Originally, Keaton resigned from joining the cast because of money related issues, reported Variety. Sources said that the dispute began after Robert Downey Jr. was added to the cast list to play Iron Man. During that time, it seems that the studio couldn't afford both actors. However, the studio managed to come to an agreement with both actors.

The plot of the film is still unknown.

Keaton is best known for his role as Bruce Wayne in Batman and Batman Returns. He recently starred in two Oscar award winning films, Birdman and Spotlight. He is represented by ICM Partners.
