Claire time travels, heals people and has hot sex, what's not to love about her?
The beautiful, sexy Englishwoman, Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser (played by Caitriona Balfe) could have been an interesting character had she just been a skilled combat nurse during WWII who became a surgeon in the 1960s. But no, that isn’t enough for Outlander, thanks to author Diana Gabaldon...When you multiply that Claire is a well-educated, bilingual orphan raised by a globe-trotting archaeologist, who falls in passionate love with one man while in a loving marriage to another, who knows potentially life-saving and sometimes life-ending medicinal qualities of plants, who makes trusted friends and mortal enemies with equal aplomb, not to mention being an accidental time-traveler bent on changing history; you have someone, the likes of whom we have never seen before on television. She is an incredibly layered and complex person who is always interesting to watch.
