The Flash returned after a jaw dropping episode that left us wondering what happened to Barry and if his friends really did accidentally kill him. Immediately set after the events, Cisco was determined to find out for sure what happened to his friend and thankfully, he discovered Barry lived and was trapped in a vortex.
Despite being distracted by his daughter’s injuries after being hit by the speed force with Wally, Harry told Cisco that Barry was likely trapped in the speed force. While Henry focused on taking care of Jesse since he was a doctor, Cisco and Harry worked together to try and bring Barry back.
Unfortunately, the team faces trouble as meta human Tony, aka Girder, comes back from the dead because of what happened with the electricity. Getting an idea since Tony appeared to be looking for her, Iris decided to act as bait to get him back to the Labs.
While they are trying to rescue him, Barry is stuck in the speed force, which takes on the faces of the people closest to him as he tries to catch something in order to go back home. He is faced with his own feelings, especially in regards to losing his mother.
Of course, unbeknown to the team, Zoom continues his plan further to bring destruction to Earth.
This was a powerful episode that was great for exploring Barry’s character and giving WestAllen fans something to look forward to. As we get two episodes closer to the season finale, check out the top ten moments from “The Runaway Dinosaur.”
