It’s almost that time of year again when the entire sports world comes together to celebrate those who have achieved true greatness and are at the top of their game with the ESPY Awards. The person chosen to host this year’s ESPYS is WWE superstar John Cena.

The professional wrestler has been quite busy these days and he can now add award show host to his growing resume.

Cena, 39, is a 15-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion; an actor, who has co-hosted several TV programs and also mastered reality TV via his appearances on Total Divas and is the current host of the TV competition series American Grit. But how will he do with his opening monologue for the ceremony? Well, he showed us his comedic chops in the film Trainwreck and was pretty darn funny then so this gig shouldn’t be too hard.

The athlete tweeted his excitement and vowed that this year’s ESPYS will be one to remember.

The live ceremony will air Wednesday, July 13 at 8 p.m. EST, on ABC.
