Baywatch actor Zac Efron stopped by The Tonight Show to play "Water War" with Jimmy Fallon and bring back his infamous crimped hair look from what feels like ages ago.

Efron, 28, wasn’t always the hunk he is today. It’s hard to believe, but he once went through an awkward stage of life involving crimped hair and the cutest little gap in between his teeth.

So where exactly did this photo come from? To no surprise the High School Musical actor attended a summer camp for the arts in the eighth grade where he lied about his age to get in because they only accepted juniors and seniors.

“It was me and a lot of older girls and they crimped my hair and I thought I was awesome,” he told Fallon.

Luckily Fallon had crimped wigs on hand and it became evident there is no look that Efron can not pull off at this age.

"Water War" is a card game that features the winner of each hand throwing water onto the loser and the final loser getting hit by a water cannon, spoiler Efron lost. Unfortunatley, the actor would not take off his shirt even though audience members asked him too.

Always the good sport, Efron uploaded this picture to Twitter after losing the game.
