Many of the box office hits today were originally books, ranging from sappy romantic John Green books to epic series like J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter or J. R. R. Tolken’s Lord of the Rings. There are 30 movies coming out this year that were originally books. This includes Roald Dahl’s The BFG, Me Before You by Jojo Moyes, Dan Brown’s Inferno, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander by J.K. Rowling.
Between 40 to 50 percent of movies created today are based on books. As an avid reader, I find there are many books out there that have movie potential. Books make your imagination run wild, and too see your imagination come to life on screen is always magical. It’s fun to compare your ideas versus the ideas of the movie creative team.
These 10 books could be made into fantastic movies, provided that the director and creative team for the movie do not change a thing.
