Mindy is keeping her relationship with Mr. Princeton Football Coach, Drew, a secret from everyone at the office (except Morgan). For this coming weekend, Drew decides to spend the weekend with Mindy in NYC for a change. However, they spend the first night apart because Mindy has to watch Leo (since Danny bailed).
Morgan and Colette enter the office into an inter-department softball tournament at the hospital. Jodi is desperately trying to get Colette to like and hang out with Courtney. Colette cannot stand Courtney. She purposely hits Courtney with a softball during the game because Courtney’s laugh is so obnoxious. Colette gets ejected from the game, and Mindy is called to save the day. The ObGyn’s beat the dermatologists only because they forfeit because of their fear of getting sun burnt.
The team moves to the next round and Mindy delays her date with Drew even further.
Mindy gets motivated to stay and win the softball tournament when she hears the orthopedic team talking smack about the practice. However, Mindy lied to Drew, saying that she was called into work for a delivery, not a softball game. He finds out that she's playing softball when he stops by the hospital and runs into Jodi. Drew saves the day, and his relationship with Mindy, by coaching the team to victory. By the end of the episode, Mindy does admit to her friends that she is dating Drew.
