Arrow star Willa Holland said DC told them to kill off the show's characters related to their film Suicide Squad starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie.

Speaking at MCM London Comic Con, the actress who plays Speedy/Thea Queen said that it was irritating to have their show pushed to the side in favor of the movies, according to Mirror.

"We add to axe all the characters before we even got to show them, which is a little annoying at first," Holland said.

Holland also brought up the Justice League movie in development and how DC already has a great Arrow and Flash on The CW that would've been equally great on the big screen. Holland continued that the TV to movie translation can work and brought up Marvel's connected universe.

"It proves the fact that it does work because Marvel does it in their own in their own weird right and they kind of mash between their Agents of SHIELDs into the movies and stuff," she said, "So it's a little upsetting because you know it is possible and it can be done and how good it would be if it was done."

Holland spoke about the difficulty of fighting DC on the matter and how they just have to accept defeat.

"You can't really fight against them for it, because they are the people who gave us a job in the first place," Holland said, "So we just have to sit there on your hands and be like, 'okay, I get it.'"
