Racing legend Jeff Gordon recently said he had interest in joining Live as co-host to Kelly Ripa.
In an interview with the Associated Press, Gordon talked about the speculation that he was one of the possible successors being considered after Michael Strahan left the show.
During the interview, Gordon stated “I’ve always maintained a great friendship with the show, some of the producers and folks within the show. I had a great time co-hosting and I certainly would welcome it.”
Gordon filled for Regis Philbin in nine times as co-host for Ripa. However, Gordon did say he still wanted to keep his job as an analyst for NASCAR on Fox.
He said his “priority is Fox and Fox Sports and Nascar. I will definintely be back in the book next year; if there is something that could fit into and around that, great.”
Gordon was mum about whether any talks had happened with the show since Strahan left for Good Morning America.
