Jermaine Jackson’s wife, Halima Rashid, has filed papers to end the couple’s marriage after nearly 12 years.
People reported that Rashid filed the documentation for divorce earlier this week and cited “irreconcilable differences.”
The docs reveal that the date of separation is Nov. 28, 2015, which as TMZ noted, is the date she was arrested for felony corporal injury after allegedly biting Jackson’s leg during an argument. There are also reports that the singer spit on her. Rashid was never charged and the case is now closed.
Jackson fathered nine children from previous relationships, however, he and Rashid do not have any children together. She was his third wife and is requesting spousal support and asking that he pay her lawyer fees as well.
