While family and friends have come to his defense, Johnny Depp has stayed mum about the abuse allegations made by Amber Heard after she filed for divorce in May. On Monday, June 27, the actor gave his first interview since the claims were made.

In the interview with 95.5 KLOS "Jonesy's Jukebox" in Los Angeles, the 57-year-old did not specifically address what is shaping up to be a very nasty divorce. However, he did express his displeasure for all the stories that have come out about him because he is in the public eye.

"The drag is all the hoopla that happens," Depp said about the downside of being a famous actor.

He then revealed that his passion is music and that he actually got into acting by accident just to pay the bills.

"I like the process of it... I don't wanna be a product," he continued. "I don't watch the movies, so for me all I have is the experience."

Heard was granted a restraining order from Depp last May when she claimed that he assaulted her during an altercation the two had. The Alice Through the Looking Glass star has been touring with his band the Hollywood Vampires since the news broke.
