Legendary actress Julie Andrews has announced the worldwide premiere of her show aimed at preschoolers titled Julie’s Greenroom.
In the video clip on YouTube, Andrews explained that the show is all about “the wonderful world of the performing arts.”
Julie’s Greenroom will feature a new cast of puppets created by The Jim Henson Company. The series will also feature original musical numbers and several celebrity guests including Alec Baldwin, Sara Bareilles, Joshua Bell, Tituss Burgess, Carol Burnett, Chris Colfer, Robert Fairchild, Josh Groban, David Hyde Pierce, Bill Irwin, Ellie Kemper and Idina Menzel.
Netflix has ordered 13 half-hour episodes which are set to premiere in 2017.
“It’s been an incredible treat to work with Julie on this project,” said Andy Yeatman, Director of Global Kids Content at Netflix. “This show is all about awakening children's interest in the performing arts while introducing a new era of puppets to the viewers.”
