Nancy Grace, who has been a fixture on Headline News for the last 12 years, announced that she is leaving the network.
The former prosecutor confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that she informed her staffers and CNN bosses on Thursday morning that she would not be renewing her contract and therefore leaving when it expires in October.
Grace told THR that she has “mixed” emotions about leaving, but has been pondering the appropriate time to do so over the last three years.
"Nancy has worked tirelessly on behalf of the missing and exploited for more than a decade on HLN," said CNN executive Ken Jautz. "She gave a voice to the voiceless, and we are extremely grateful for her contributions to the network. During her remarkable career at HLN, she led the coverage of two of this century’s most talked about and infamous trials, Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias. We will always be champions of Nancy's mission and are excited to see what’s next for her."
The 56-year-old did not specify exactly what the next project she will working is but she did say that it will "include a very large digital component."
Grace’s last show will air on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m.
