Orphan Black has been renewed for a fifth and final season. The hit BBC America series, which stars Tatiana Maslany.
BBC America stated the series will air its fifth season in 2017 with 10 episodes. BBC America President Sarah Barnett said, “Orphan Black is a thrilling, genre-bending ride that has captured our fans’ imaginations and hearts like no other show.”
After speaking about the crew and Maslany, she ended by saying, “We can’t wait to take our incredibly passionate audience on one final gobsmacking clone adventure.”
In a post on Twitter, a statement from co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson said, “We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters.”
The show gave Maslany a nomination for the 2015 Best Actress Emmy, two Best Actress awards from the Critics’ Choice Awards, a Young Hollywood Award and more.
Season four will finish on June 16 at 10/9c.
