Hello again my dear slasher fans. Welcome to another episode recap of the MTV series Scream Season 2. Last night was the third episode and it seems like things are getting more and more intense each week. I guess you could say that Ghostface gave us a breather last week and didn't brutally murder anyone in episode 2. However, that breather is over because there was definitely a murder in last night's episode. Yes my friends Ghostface is a savage. Now let's get into this recap!
Back In The Storage Garage:
The episode started where we left off last week. Audrey was in the garage in a state of extreme shock after finding Jake's dead body. Suddenly Audrey gets a call from none other than, Ghostface. He/She threatens to pin Jake's murder on Audrey if she tries to call the police.
Audrey notices that the message from Ghostface with her name on it was still pinned on Jake. She quickly rips the message off of his body and rushes out of the garage.
Emma's Father is Back. Is this good or Bad?
Towards the end of last week's episode we found out that Emma's father had been following her in a mysterious blue car the whole time. When Emma found out that it was her father she immediately went home and told her mom that he was back in Lakewood. Emma's mom was not to happy to know that he was back and she warned Emma to be careful with him. Emma calls Audrey to tell her about her dad and she does not think Emma should trust him at all. Fed up from hearing the same reply from everyone Emma defends her dad and decides to meet with him for breakfast.
Another Trip to the Infamous Storage Garage:
Noah is excited to search inside of the garage because he believes it is where Ghostface is hiding his or her murder weapons. He drags Audrey along with him and she is doing everything she can to persuade Noah into not going, but it doesn't stop him. As they are walking closer and closer to the garage Audrey is getting super nervous. Noah doesn't know why, but we do. Audrey is just hoping that it is not the same murder scene she walked into last night. Audrey closes her eyes as Noah opens up the garage, but to their surprise it is empty.
There's no blood. No dead body. No Dead Jake. Just a bunch of random storage supplies. Noah leaves the storage unit disappointed and Audrey leaves relieved. Aw I guess Ghostface decided to be nice.
Uh oh ... There's a Camera In Here:
I forgot to mention that Noah did find one small in that storage garage before he and Audrey left. He found a camera inside and believes that there is footage on it that will lead him to Ghostface #2. Audrey is now paranoid that there is some footage of her going inside of the garage and finding Jake's body. She tries persuading Noah into leaving the camera, but it doesn't work once again. Noah was eager to take the camera home and download the files to found out who Ghostface #2 is.
Ghostface Literally Driving Audrey Insane:
Noah is in his room with Audrey and the camera that he found in the storage garage. He decides to call the motel clerk one more time to see if he can get some information out of him. The motel clerk refused to give information and hangs up. Noah starts downloading files from the camera that as inside the storage unit. As he waits patiently for the files to download Audrey is going insane. She knows that she is in that camera footage and she does not want Noah to see it. While Noah is waiting for the files to download Audrey picks up a very sturdy looking dragon statue. She raises it up in the air as if she is about to knock Noah in the head with it. Just before Audrey hits Noah in the head, he experiences an issue with downloading the files. Audrey quickly takes the statue out of the air and pretends she was just holding as Noah turns around. When Audrey leaves Noah's house she gets a message from Ghostface. He or She sent a video of Audrey on tape standing next to Jake's dead body. Poor Audrey, Ghostface has really got you going through it, huh?
Emails from the Dead:
Emma's father comes to visit the house to talk to Emma's mother. She confronts him about why he decided to come back to Lakewood. He tells her that he wanted to be with Emma after all the murders she's witnessed this past summer. He also tells her that he had been getting emails from Emma's best friend Riley Mara. Riley has been telling him that Emma was going through a lot and that he should come to back to Lakewood. Wait a minute .... isn't Riley dead? Yep and that's exactly what Emma's mom told Emma's father. After discovering this mysterious news, Emma's parents take the emails to the police hoping they can figure out who is doing this. If Riley is dead, then who is sending these emails?
Back at the Creepy Motel:
The hotel clerk knocks on one of the motel doors to deliver a corkscrew to a Mr. Duval. Emma's last name is Duval ... could this be her father? We'll see about that. After not knocking on the door and not getting an answer the hotel clerk notices the door is open and lets his self in. When he walks into the room there is plastic wrap all of the floor and bed. It almost looks like someone is in preparation of a murder scene. The clerk keeps walking to find Mr. Duval, but to his surprise Ghostface pops up behind him and stabs him repeatedly with the corkscrew. Oh that's what he needed it for!
"Meet Me at the Motel, Love Ghostface":
Emma stops by the coffee shop and one of the employee's hands her a note. The note is from her dad and he told her to meet him at the creepy motel. Why there of all places? Audrey also got an invitation or should I say threatening invitation to the motel as well. Ghostface calls Audrey and threatens her to meet him or her at the motel or the video of her in the garage with dead Jake would be revealed. This doesn't sound like a pleasant get-together.
A Movie Date Full of Surprises:
Brooke, Zoe and Noah decide to go on a movie date together. I categorize Brooke as the third wheel in the scenario. Since there seems to be a little spark between Noah and Zoe. As the three of them walk into the theater, guess who shows up to stalk Brooke again. You got it, Gustavo the creep. He ambushes their movie date and starts to walk with them into the theater. On there way in the theater Brooke spots Mr. Branson. For those of you who don't remember Mr. Branson is the teacher that Brooke started a secret romance with last season. Earlier in the episode he called Brooke and asked to get back with her after finding out that her and Jake were through. Branson pleaded with Brooke and begged her to come back to him, but Brooke didn't trust him. In the past Mr. Branson has dated students and they've all of a sudden went missing. This discovery scared Brooke, so all of his apologies didn't mean a thing to her. Gustavo defends Brooke in front of Mr. Branson and tells him to leave Brooke alone. Mr. Branson asks who Gustavo was and he replies "I'm her Boyfriend." Then he grabs Brooke and kisses her! Before they leave to go inside the theater Mr. Branson reveals to Brooke that he was the one that left the roses on her car that night. After learning this news Brooke texts Jake "We Are Done" and she gets a reply back that says "Hasta la vista." Can we just get back on the subject of the Gustavo and Brooke Kiss? I have to say it was kind of hot.
Emma is at the Motel:
Emma goes to the motel to meet her father and ends up going to the same room the hotel clerk was murdered in. Meanwhile Audrey is on her way to the motel as Ghostface ordered. While she is driving Ghostface calls her on FaceTime to show her that he or she is in the motel room with Emma. Ghostface flashes the dead body of the hotel clerk and hangs up. Audrey panics and calls the police and tells them her friend is in trouble at the motel.
Blood On Her Hands:
Once Emma is safely out of the motel room where Ghostface was Audrey is relieved. She gets into her car to drive home, but before she drives off she gets a text from Ghostface. The text message says, "Look under your seat." She reaches under her seat to find the bloody corkscrew that Ghostface killed the motel clerk with. The episode ends with the blood from the corkscrew on Audrey's hands. Again. I will say that Ghostface is a savage.
Found out what happens next on Monday night at 11:00 p.m. EST, only on MTV.
