Who could forget Zac Efron's big claim to fame as Troy Bolton in Disney's High School Musical? Well, 10 years later and the Gods have answered Efron fans everywhere, with reports of him returning to musicals.
Variety reported that the Neighbors actor is in talks to join The Greatest Showmman on Earth, a musical based around the life of Barnum and Bailey Circus frontman, P.T Barnum. Now, Efron won't be playing Barnum himself, that role has been taken by Hugh Jackman who's been trying to make the movie happen since 2009.
If Efron goes through with the deal, it would apparently solidify the movie and give it a better chance of making it to theaters.
Efron fans: Don't lose sleep over his decision, after all he did tell Men's Fitness that he looks back and regrets his East High days.
The actor admitted that he did funny movies like Neighbors because he's still "just that f*****g kid" from High School Musical."
"I step back and look at myself and still want to kick that guy's ass sometimes. Like f*** that guy," he said.
Don't worry he still finds his HSM days some of the "most cherished and exciting times" of his life, according to this recent Instagram post.
