Benedict Cumberbatch plays the Sorcerer Supreme in the next Marvel film which received its second trailer at Comic-Con.
Doctor Strange follows the world's number one neurosurgeon, Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch), as he learns about the mystic arts after a car accident severely damages his hands.
Horror director Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Sinister) helms the 14th Marvel Cinematic Universe film. The script is from Sinister and Sinster 2 writers Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill.
The trailer houses looks at the characters played by Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave, The Martian), Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls, Spotlight), Tilda Swinton (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Snowpiercer), and Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale, NBC's Hannibal).
Cumberbatch recently had a brief appearance in Zoolander 2, and received his fourth Emmy nomination for his turn in a Sherlock Christmas special released in January. After Doctor Strange, Cumberbatch appears in the second series of The Hollow Crown, a BBC show televising Shakespeare plays. He will play Richard III.
As previously reported, the film will be released November 4 this year.
