Blake Shelton is returning to his roots this season on The Voice, using his love life to rack up the ultimate performers on his team.

A source reveals to US Weekly that the country crooner has used girlfriend Gwen Stefani’s name as bait for the aspiring singers.

The source says Shelton drops lines such as “I don’t want to brag, but my girlfriend is the queen of ska.”

The name drop tactic that Shelton is utilizing is not foreign to him, as he previously used his marriage with ex-wife Miranda Lambert as a draw throughout the upstart of the show.

Stefani and Shelton began their romance last October, serving as coaches on Season 9.

The love fest between Shelton and Stefani will noticeably be absent on this season, as Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus are the two female coaches joining the show for Season 11.

The ladies join Shelton and returning coach Adam Levine when the show kicks off Sept. 19 on NBC.
