Dr. Dre was involved in an incident that brought police to his house.
The Los Angeles Times reported the entrepreneur, whose real name is Andre Young, was involved on a confrontation outside his Malibu home when a man made a citizen’s arrest. The man called the police and claimed he had brandished a gun.
However, responding officers found no weapon at the scene. Dre was “searched, handcuffed and briefly detained in a patrol car” as the incident was occurring. He was reportedly cooperative and consented to being searched.
After finding no weapon, he was released.
Dre had told authorities the man in question had blocked his driveway and he denied the threats. When the man left only to return to his home, Dre began recording the incident.
A source reportedly said Dre had made the claim he was followed by the individual following a road-rage incident.
Billboard reported there was no comment from Dre’s lawyer regarding the incident.
