Vice President Joe Biden filmed a role for an upcoming episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on Friday morning.
Biden appears as himself during a press conference in the episode. Two incredibly trustworthy sources confirmed this: The White House and Ice-T.
"While in New York, the Vice President will tape an appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on the rape kit backlog and efforts to end violence against women,” the White House said in a statement, according to Politico.
SVU actor Ice-T tweeted a photo of Biden with actress, producer and director Mariska Hargitay with the caption, "Joe is in the Building.... SVU."
Ice-T also received the VP's challenge coin and called Biden "cool as F."
Biden has been an advocate against sexual assault and domestic violence, leading the efforts in creating the Violence Against Women Act of 1994. He recently introduced the song "Til It Happens to You," written for the campus rape documentary The Hunting Ground, at the Academy Awards in February.
Hargitay has also been an advocate. She founded the Joyful Heart Foundation and has had Biden as a supporter. The Vice President was honored at an event held by the organization in May.
Season 18 of Law & Order begins Sept. 21. It's unknown when the episode with Biden's appearance will air.
