When Jon Stewart appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on July 21, he had one agenda: to tear into Fox News and Trump supporters.
On Thursday, the former Daily Show host reunited with Colbert, for a second time this week, after live coverage of the Republican National Convention.
Sitting at the desk of Colbert, Stewart commenced a 10-minute monologue blasting Fox News and anchor Sean Hannity, who he refers to as "Lumpy," for supporting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump; someone who encompasses qualities, that they said they disliked about Barack Obama.
“I’m sure it’s easy for people without ethics or principles to embrace someone who embodies everything they said they hated about the previous president for the past eight years," Stewart quipped.
Stewart's vehement attack did not cease there.
“This country isn’t yours. You don’t own it!” Stewart ranted. “You don’t own patriotism, you don’t own Christianity. You sure as hell don’t own respect for military, police and firefighters.”
But before Stewart could continue his tirade on Fox News and supporters of the "thin-skinned narcissist with no government experience," he was interrupted by Colbert's air horn.
Stewart has gathered much support for his cutthroat monologue on Twitter.
