Ghostbusters and Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones returned to Twitter after leaving this week due to hurtful messages directed at her.
Jones had been receiving hatred for the Ghostbusters remake since her involvement was announced. On Monday, Jones tweeted that she would be blocking those who are mean to her and then said she would start letting others see what she's been receiving.

Jones began retweeting some of the messages of people comparing her to Harambe, calling her ugly, sending her disturbing pictures and more hateful comments. She signed off Twitter that night in "tears."
Fellow celebrities came out in support of Jones, with many using the hashtag #LoveforLeslieJ.
Then, Twitter banned a tech editor for attacking Jones and released a statement the next day regarding heat directed at the company for not taking action.
"We know many people believe we have not done enough to curb this type of behavior on Twitter. We agree," the statement read according to Buzzfeed. "We have been in the process of reviewing our hateful conduct policy to prohibit additional types of abusive behavior and allow more types of reporting, with the goal of reducing the burden on the person being targeted."
The statement also said Twitter promises details regarding changes to improve their current system "in the coming weeks."
The company's official account also replied to Jones' tweet from today.
Jones posted again since her comeback tweet, thanking those who supported her.
Jones can be seen now on the big screen in Ghostbusters. Her upcoming film roles include Masterminds due out on Sept. 30, We Are Family on Oct. 24 and the new Illumination animated movie, Sing, set for release on Dec. 21.
