Los Angeles Lakers player Nick Young almost pulled a Jason Pierre-Paul by nearly blowing his hand off while lighting fireworks on the Fourth of July.
TMZ posted video on July 5 of Young holding a lit artillery shell, which exploded in his hand. Luckily for Swaggy P he’s okay, but we can’t imagine why any professional athlete would mess with fireworks after what happened to Pierre-Paul last year.
The New York Giants defensive end was seriously injured lighting off fireworks at his home and later had to have his right index finger amputated. Pierre-Paul learned his lesson and has spoken out about the dangers of fireworks, keeping them away from children and leaving the big stuff to the professionals.
Hopefully Young listens to JPP next time so he doesn’t suffer the same fate.
