Hello slasher fans, We have now reached episode nine. Looking back from the first episode to now, I would say we have discovered an awful lot of secrets. Last episode we left off with Emma listening to the recording of Audrey confessing about bringing Piper to Lakewood. All throughout the episode Audrey was trying to find the perfect time to come clean about it herself, but the Ghostface drama kept getting in the way. At the very end of the episode Emma finishes listening to the recording, just as Audrey walks into her room. Emma looks up at Audrey in complete shock, but Audrey assures her that she can explain. Did Emma and Audrey get to hash it out? Let's hope so. Okie doke it's recap time!
Another Hallucination
Emma walks down the stairs and all of her friends are waiting for inside her house. As soon as she enters the living room they all surround her. They keep saying "Emma we need to talk to you" over and over again. Emma gets overwhelmed and grabs a knife. Suddenly she stabs Audrey in the stomach, then she turns around and stabs Keiran in the stomach. Soon she hears her mother's voice and she wakes up out of her hallucination.
What's Up with Ms. Lang?
Emma finds a tape hanging on a lock of hair in her locker. The tape was labeled "Emma 4" with a message on the locker mirror that read "play me." When Emma and Keiran sit down to listen to the recording, they discover that it is a conversation between Ms. Lang and Emma. After their conversation Ms. Lang's voice chimed in. She was actually analyzing the conversation. In Ms. Lang's analysis she said that Emma seemed violent towards her, but she "needed" her for something.
Who is the Secret Friend?
Someone sent Emma the recording of Audrey confessing about Piper to Emma and labeled themselves as her "Secret Friend." Audrey suspects that Zoey was the one who sent it, since she was the only one left alone in Noah's room. As Noah and Audrey are arguing about who sent it to Emma, Zoey walks into his room. Noah said he wanted her to help them figure out who hacked his computer and sent the recording to Emma. Audrey says that Zoey sent the recording to create a rift between her and Noah. However Zoey refused and said that she did not sent the recording to Emma. Noah checks his email to see if Zoey's name popped up under the email. Instead he found an email sent from his computer of the recording, but it was sent to Zoey's email. Zoey confessed and told Noah that she sent the email to herself to listen to the rest of it when she got back to her house. However, she promised him that she did not sent the email to Emma. He believed her and tried finding the address of the "secret friend," so that he could hack into it and find out who the person was.
Visiting Ms. Lang
Emma and Keiran visit Ms. Lang in the hospital. As soon as Ms. Lang opens her eyes and sees Emma, she starts to panic. The doctors rush into her room and tell Keiran and Emma to leave. Just as they are about to leave, Emma sees someone send a bouquet of daisies to Ms. Lang's room. She sees them and gets suspicious because Brandon James used to call her mother Daisy. Emma and Keiran read the note that came with the flowers and it said the the flowers were from Piper.
They instantly suspect the the killer sent them. Keiran goes into Ms. Lang's room and steals her house keys.
Gustavo's Discovery
Gustavo goes into is father's office at the police department and turns down all the blinds, so that no one sees him. He looks through Jake's files to figure out what happened to him. Brooke had mentioned something about finding out what happened to Jake and Gustavo wanted to find out for her. He takes a picture of a conversation between Jake and Brooke's father. The conversation was screenshotted and printed out on paper. It seemed as if Jake was finishing a job for Brooke's father before he died.
Back to the Secret Friend Investigation
Noah hacked into the email address to see who the secret friend was. When it was identified it said that the email was registered to Zoey's email address. Zoey still persisted to say that she did not sent the recording to Emma. Noah believed her and tried to figure out another way to find out who it was. Audrey did not believe that Zoey was telling the truth. However, Noah explained to Audrey that finding out who sent the email was not going to change what she did. He told her that she had to talk to Emma even though she was still mad at her about the Piper confession. Audrey gets mad and storms out of Noah's room.
It Finally Happened
You guys know that I'm obsessed with #Zoah! So you know that I had to include this! Yes it finally happened, Noah is no longer a virgin. And boy was it a hot scene!
Oh Ms. Lang What Have You Been Hiding?
Emma and Keiran sneak into Ms. Lang's house and find a photo of Ms. Lang and Piper with a group of girls when they were younger. Keiran suspected that Ms. Lang was obsessed with Emma because she knew that she killed Piper. Emma and Keiran found the photo hanging upside down on the wall. They suspected that someone left it that way on purpose so that they could find it. Ms. Lang and Piper grew up in the same orphanage by the name of Blessed Sisters. Emma called up Noah to ask him if he knew anything about the orphanage. He said that it closed down a long time ago after an abuse scandal. Noah, Zoey, Emma and Keiran decide to check out the Orphanage together.
The Secret Friend is the Killer
Noah discovered that the camera he took from the storage unit a couple episodes ago, was a way for the killer to listen to everything that was going on in his room. Noah immediately breaks the camera after his discovery. Looks like we know who that secret friend is now, don't we?
Brooke Confronts her Father
Gustavo shows Brooke the conversation between Jake and her father, just before Jake died. He hired Jake to burn down one of his field developments. Brooke confronted her father and asked him why he didn't tell the police. He told her he didn't tell them because of how bad it would have made him look.
Party at the Orphanage
Emma, Keiran, Noah and Zoey arrive at the orphanage and to their surprise someone has thrown a huge party inside. Everyone inside the orphanage were wearing Ghostface masks. Emma asked someone who was the one who threw the party. The girl showed Emma the invitation that was sent out with her and Audrey's name labeled as the hosts of the party. Emma assumed that this was Ghostface's doing, especially because of the huge banner that read "face the mask." Emma finds one of the movie theater pranksters from the first episode at the party. She discovers that she was the one who threw the party and labeled her and Audrey as the hosts. Haley, the prankster, said that she threw the party for a friend of hers. Haley goes into one of the back rooms of the orphanage to put something away. She sees someone in a Ghostface masks, but assumes that it's her boyfriend. She caresses his face and goes in for a kiss.
Suddenly he pulls out a knife and stabs her to death.
Well, we all know who it is now! The electric shuts off in the building and everything is pitch black. Emma and Audrey find someone sitting in a rocking chair creepily. They walk up to the chair to see who it is and discover that it is Piper's dead body.
The police arrive and evacuate everyone out of the building. Once they go inside they find Haley's body hanging above the banner that read "face the mask."
