Bill Nye, everyone's favorite science guy, is joining forces with Netflix to save the world.
On Wednesday, Aug. 31, the streaming giant announced a talk show named Bill Nye Saves the World to their award-winning roster that also includes House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black.
According to the streaming service, Nye plans to enact the scientific method on politics, social topics and pop culture.
"Each episode will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view," Netflix said in a statement. "Dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry."
The Bunim/Murray produced talk show will mark Nye's return to television in a hosting capacity since becoming a household name in the 1990s with his Emmy-award winning educational show, Bill Nye the Science Guy. It will also serve as Nye's TV comeback since cha-cha'ing out of the ballroom on Dancing With the Stars in 2013.
With the addition of Bill Nye Saves the World, Netflix will continue it's expedition into the talk show genre as the new series joins the recently renewed Chelsea.
Bill Nye Saves the World is scheduled to launch in Spring 2017.
