Unexpected dental surgery kept Gabby Douglas from attending the MTV VMAs with her Final Five teammates on Sunday, Aug. 28 and now she is giving us a post-op update on how she’s doing.
The Olympian took to social media Tuesday, Aug. 30, to share exactly what procedure she had done and how she’s feeling.
"Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that I'm doing ok! I had a complication from a prior injury that caused a cyst to grow on a bone in my mouth," Douglas posted. "Got it removed and feeling much better now! Thanks for all your concerns and prayers and HUGE thank you to the doctors that have taken care of me these last four days!"
The 20-year-old also revealed that next she must get her wisdom teeth pulled.
There is no word yet on when the gold medalist will undergo that oral surgery and if she will have to miss any of her upcoming gigs which include TV appearances and being a judge at the 2016 Miss America pageant.
