Now that the final Divergent movie is ditching theaters for television, actor Miles Teller, might not return after appearing in the last three installments.
Teller was questioned at the premiere of his new movie War Dogs and said he hasn't talked to anybody about it yet. The actor said he found out right before the news broke.
"When we all signed on to the first one we had every intention of finishing it theatrically," Teller said via Variety. "You know, it's moving into a different format. So who knows?"
Leading lady Shailene Woodley was also unaware of the changes when she was recently asked about her involvement. The actress said she needed to talk more about it before signing on.
Teller said that he "enjoyed that time [the Divergent crew] spent together and those characters."
The third Divergent film, Allegiant, was released back in March. Costing about $110 million to make, the film couldn't even pull in $180 million at the worldwide box office. Now, the fourth and final Divergent movie is being reworked for TV with a spinoff series to follow.
