After Pretty Little Liars took a week hiatus, fans of the show finally find out if Aria will accept Ezra’s proposal and watch as one of the characters dies.

The Pretty Little Liars meet up at the Daily Brew to talk about their suspicions of who knows about Rollins' death. Alison is upset after finding out her friends tried to out her to AD. Spencer shares her concerns about Mary Drake and decides to follow her. Emily says she is going to keep tabs on Jenna and Sarah.

The detective Spencer made out with meets with Alison, Spencer and Mary Drake to discuss Elliot’s real identity. They find out Elliot was a con artist. He says the police department has a theory about his “escape plan” and says Alison is still in danger.

As the detective walks out, Spencer clears the air about their quick fling and says she does not want anything to get in the way of the investigation.

Aria listens to a voicemail from Ezra and she contemplates what she should do. Meanwhile, Hanna is on the phone with Lucas to talk about their business plan. Aria texts Hanna and says she needs her advice. Hanna hears the burner phone ring and a man says “next time you bury someone, make sure they are dead.”

Hanna and Aria talk about the phone call and the possibility of Elliot being alive. Aria ensures her that he is dead. Ezra continues to call Aria but she doesn't answer. At the Radley Hotel, Emily sees Sarah head to the elevator and overhears a call from Jenna.

Spencer goes to the Lost Woods Resort to try and find more information to help convince Hanna. When she searches a room, she sees Mary Drake who is afraid of Elliot and thinks he is in the area. Mary Drake said he had a temper and was frightening. The two hear a noise outside but no one is out there.

Aria finds Hanna outside the police station but says she never went inside. The two reminisce about who they wish they could be. Aria tells Hanna about Ezra’s proposal and that she said she would have to think about since her future is unclear. Hanna tells Aria the truth about Jordan and their breakup. She also tells her that her and Ezra are meant to be together.

Caleb and Ezra meet at the Radley Hotel and Caleb says he doesn't know what his future with Spencer holds. Emily takes drinks to Jenna’s room where she looks through a computer. Sarah walks in and Emily confronts Jenna, who says Charlotte was her friend and was helping her get more information about her birth mother.

During a flashback, Charolette and Jenna talk about Elliot. Jenna finally tells her how she knew Elliot and blames Emily and the girls about where he might be.

Caleb and Spencer finally talk and Caleb admits he is confused about his feelings. Spencer said she is grateful for the experience she had with Caleb as the two officially break off their relationship.

Ezra and Aria finally talk and she tells him the truth about what is really going on.

Mary Drake and Alison talk with one another about Charlotte and Alison realizes Charlotte lied to her and may not have really cared about being her sister. Later, Emily apologizes to Alison about giving AD the red coat.

Emily and Hanna receive a call with a threat about Alison being alone. They call Alison about the call and she asks the officer patrolling to come inside. The mysterious officer disappears and suddenly attacks Alison in her room. Before nearly strangling her, backup police come and the imposer runs away.

Spencer and Hanna rush to Alison’s side. Later, Emily goes to see Alison and the two talk. In the next scene, Ezra says proposes to Aria again even after knowing the truth and Aria says yes.

Sarah is at the hotel and packs to leave but sees something the audience does not. Later, a maid comes to clean the room and sees that Sarah is dead in a bath tub.

Later, Spencer and Hanna search the woods to the burial site where they buried Elliot. The two dig up the hole and find his body and sees that he really is dead.

In the final scene, viewers of Pretty Little Liars see AD videotape Hanna and Spencer digging the grave.
