Seth Rogen isn't only bringing talking food to theaters with his cartoon, R-rated comedy Sausage Party, he's bringing them to a supermarket in New York City too.

The 34-year-old decided to prank some innocent shoppers at a New York City grocery store on Thursday. The Pineapple Express actor was voicing animatronic cantaloupes, bread and of course, sausages to communicate with shoppers.

Rogen wanted to show that "our food has feelings" to the shoppers. No one was safe either. He mocked a group of teenagers and a solo hipster. As well as a woman eating a cantaloupe, telling her it was his nephew.

Most shoppers were startled at first, some jumped back and screamed. Others found it rather funny and even talked back to the food.

Sausage Party hit theaters on Aug. 12 featuring the voices of Rogen as well as James Franco, Jonah Hill and Michael Cera.
