Despite what many people suspect, Whoopi Goldberg is not the overseer of casting on The View and she is taking to Twitter to let it be known.

On Monday, Aug. 1, The Daily Mail published a report which claimed that The View co-host Paula Faris was infuriated at Goldberg for her role in the reduction of Faris' air time to one day on the long-running daytime gabfest.

Goldberg took to social media to declare, in a string of tweets, that she is not to blame for any of her co-hosts placement on the talk show.

"I do NOT run ABC," Goldberg tweeted. "I'm not responsible 4 firing or moving people around or negotiating my coworkers contracts."

She chose to let it be known to her 1.1 million followers that she is too busy to receive gratification in partaking in "mean girl" antics.

The Oscar winner's rant did not subside as she directly addressed the publication that produced the story.

"Also daily mail knowing that people talk A lot do you honestly think I would talk or act in such a way that would give u ANY ability to know Anything I think??" Goldberg questioned.

The commotion began after the report alleged Faris was "adamant that the network bowed to pressure from Whoopi to get rid" of her.

In addition to Goldberg and Faris, The View's panel consists of Joy Behar, Raven-Symone and Candace Cameron Bure.
