An autopsy was performed Thursday afternoon on Mia Farrow's son and the medical examiner’s office has concluded that the 27-year-old died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

As we reported, Thaddeus Farrow was found in his vehicle on Wednesday in Connecticut with what authorities called  a “life threatening injury.” He was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The Associated Press noted that the ME has determined that injury came from him shooting himself in the torso.

Farrow adopted Thaddeus from Kolkata, India, in 1994. In 2013, he spoke to Vanity Fair about what it was like being adopted by the famous actress.

“It was scary to be brought to a world of people whose language I did not understand, with different skin colors,” he said. “The fact that everyone loved me was a new experience, overwhelming at first.”
