Greta Van Susteren is set to leave the Fox News network after being part of it for 14 years.
New co-presidents of Fox News, Bill Shine and Jack Jack Abernethy, made the announcement Sept. 6 that she would be leaving. The news comes after Roger Ailes stepped down in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment.
Van Susteren had a clause in her contract that stated she would depart if Ailes left as well. However, sources told The Hollywood Reporter it was the result of a “financial disagreement.”
In a statement, Jack Abernethy and Shine said “We are grateful for Greta’s many contributions over the years and wish her continued success.”
After the allegations, Van Susteren was one of the first female employees at Fox News to stand up in defense of Ailes.
Brit Hume will be taking over her spot in the chair for On The Record.
While she herself has yet to make a statement, Van Susteren did respond to posts on Twitter made by her colleagues.
