In anticipation of fall 2016, the networks upped their game and provided a lineup of many shows that are incredibly good, and added very few shows that are truly awful.  In fact, many new TV shows may not be for everyone, but most have the potential to eventually find an audience.  This absence of bad makes narrowing the best new TV shows difficult, but not impossible.

Luke Cage barely got edged out, and that was because it is streaming on Netflix. Viewers may binge it at any time, without compromising for another show. The only downside being that we may have to wait up to a year to find out what happens next, but most bingers find that to be worth it. Some comedies like The Good Place, American Housewife, Kevin Can Wait, Divorce, and Son of Zorn are almost there.

Here are five new TV shows you need to start watching now.
