After the news last month that Jim Carrey was being sued by the husband of his late girlfriend, Cathriona White's mother has now filed her own shocking lawsuit against the actor.
ET noted that Brigid Sweetman filed court docs against Carrey on Tuesday, Oct. 11, which allege that the comedian had a part in White's death.
Sweetman's lawsuit is very similar to the one filed by White's estranged husband, Mark Burton, in September. As we reported Burton, like Sweetman, claimed that Carrey obtained a supply of prescription drugs for White that were purchased under a fake name. Sweetman also alleges that Carrey lied about being tested and knowingly gave her daughter several STDs.
Carrey and his attorneys have denied that he had anything to do with White's death.
The makeup artist was found dead in her Sherman Oaks, California home on Sept. 28, 2015. The Los Angeles County coroner's office ruled that she overdosed on Ambien, Propranolol, Percocet and other drugs.
