On this week’s Big Bang Theory, Howard, Leonard and Sheldon try working on their quantum gyroscope project. Sheldon however, doesn’t seem to want to put in any late nights. The other guys remind him that he is the one that told the Air Force they could get this done in two months.

Sheldon has trouble staying awake and hallucinates the Flash while he is passed out in front of a vending machine. The Flash talks him into having an energy drink instead of drinking “chocolate milk’s watery cousin,” Yoo-hoo. Sheldon becomes hyper from the energy drink. When it wears off, he immediately wants another. This makes him worry that he is addicted. He refrains from having another but starts to twitch, which he says is a result of coming off of a caffeine addiction.

Leonard insists that Sheldon needs to focus because they are relying on him to get the math right. Sheldon admits that he cannot figure it out and he apologizes saying he isn’t as smart as he thought he was. They realize that they will not be getting the project done as fast as they promised.

The guys nervously go to the Air Force lets them know they won’t be able to deliver in the time required and it may take them 2 years. The Air Force contact agrees, shocking the guys. They leave the office feeling relieved and since they have more time, they decide to go to the movies.

Meanwhile, Amy takes Penny to a scientist party since Sheldon is too tired and busy to attend. When they get there, they find they are the only two guests. Bert, the party host, feels embarrassed that no one else came. He asks Amy not to tell anyone. He then reveals that Amy is considered a popular girl on campus. She is surprised to hear this thinking that it is just because she is dating Sheldon. He, however, tells her that Sheldon is popular because he is dating her.

Penny asks about Leonard. Bert at first doesn’t recall who he is, but then remembers that he heard he tricked a hot girl into marrying him. Penny says that she is his wife but she wasn’t tricked, he just wore her down.

While everyone else is busy, Raj spends time with Bernadette. He suggests that they go shopping for baby stuff. Bernadette doesn’t want to do that. He then suggests that they start cleaning out the baby’s room but she is embarrassed by the mess. Eventually she gives in, but shortly after she freaks out saying she never dreamt about having kids. After calming down, Raj brings up paint colors for the nursery. This sets her off again.

Bernadette confesses to Raj that she doesn’t feel excited about the baby and she is worried that it will never happen. Raj calls his father for help since he has experience with pregnant women since he is an OBGYN. He assures Bernadette that not everyone is excited to be a mom and they might not even like kids, but it doesn’t mean that she won’t like her own kid. This talk with him makes her feel better. Raj, however, does not feel better as his father insults him and then tells Bernadette that he hopes she has a daughter.
