On Oct. 21, 2016 Lionsgate released the new film Boo! A Madea Halloween.
There has been a lot of chit chat about the movie even before it hit theaters. Some viewers had their opinions about the film being "stereotyped," others thought that it would be funny and enjoyable to watch with family and friends. I guess you never know if you are a good judge of character or not until you find out for yourself.
The hilarious film opens up with a scene at a wild frat house full of Jersey Shore-esque college boys. They decide to take the party outside where they meet 17-year-old Tiffany and her friend. The boys invite the girls to their frat party that was taking place that night. Brian, her father, doesn't approve of Tiffany's behavior and bans her from going to the party. Brian winds up having to make a run on Halloween night which leaves him having to send his two kids to their mother's house. Tiffany refuses to go because she feels that she is too old to be "watched." Her father reasons with her and allows her to stay home. But of course he wasn't going to let her all the way off the hook. Madea, who happens to be Brian's aunt, ends up in the middle of the mayhem where she experiences a Halloween she'll never forget trying to watch after a couple of rebellious teenagers.
Tyler Perry's comedic approach to making this supposed "horror" film was a success as it was No. 1 at the box office. Perry's franchise even beat Inferno taking in $16.7 million.
This film will make viewers stomach's hurt as they laugh at the crazy and fun moments it displays. Beware though, it's not all fun and games as some of the scenes can get a little "spooky." But with the help of Madea and her crazy crew, you'll get through it because she "ain't never scared!" She claims.
