Actor, Brad Pitt is responding to his divorce with actress, Angelina Jolie, by filing for joint custody of their six children on Friday, Nov 4 citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. The children impacted in this custody battle are Maddox, 15, Zahara, 11, Pax, 12, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

According to our reports, Jolie sought after sole custody of their six children after the family's incident, while the two agreed on a temporary physical custody. This agreement has since expired.

According to TMZ, Pitt is now tackling the issue with his own petition for sole custody. They state that California judges favor joint custody, unless it harms the children involved.

This divorce has been officially taking place since Sept. 19. This means that as the two battle it out the investigations about Pitts alleged child abuse charges will be looked into further. According to US Weekly, "it’s normal [for the DCFS] to extend past the deadline to complete their work when an agreement exists between the parties.”

While the two work out this custody agreement, Jolie will retain full custody of their children.
