Laurie Hernandez is on fire.

Laurie Hernandez, 16-year-old Olympic gold medalist has another award to add to her collection as she was crowned the winner, along with her partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy last night on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars season 23.

There has been talk about the show since it first aired back in September that Hernandez was on a lot of fan’s list as the winner. But there were also a lot of tough competitors that she and Chmerkovskiy were up against.

The Olympic gold medalist remained very humble in her success. “Honestly, I feel like we tied with each other,” she told USA TODAY.

She continues saying, “The Olympics, as a little kid, it was such a big goal that I created for myself and I was able to push through and make that happen. … I’ve always loved to dance and my passion was dancing as well as gymnastics, so winning the mirrorball (trophy) today was insane and amazing.”

Before the finale aired, Hernandez hit the red carpet with Chmerkovskiy, second place winners James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess and third-place finishers Calvin Johnson Jr. and Lindsay Arnold.

Later after the show, Hernandez was asked, “Will the mirrorball trophy reside with her Olympic gymnastics medals, including a gold from the women’s all-around team competition and a silver in the balance beam at the Rio Games in July?”

“Probably,” she responded. “Or maybe like in the center of my house.”

The youngest contestant to ever win DWTS told sources that her long term goal is to inspire others. "I do want to inspire others…When I was a little kid, I looked up to other people, so I hope I can inspire little kids," said Hernandez.

Keep pushing Laurie, anything is impossible.
