The last episode of Scream Queens left off on a cliffhanger as Chanel #5 clung to her life after getting attacked by the green masked monster and Denise was left dead.
Riding up the elevator, Chanel Oberlin can already sense Chanel #5's pain (we're still baffled by this connection). Along with Munsch, Zayday and the two Chanels find the bodies on the floor. Of course they tend to Special Agent Denise Hemphill first.
As Chanel #5 writhes in pain, Munsch suggests dumping Denise's body.
Interrupted by screams, the survivors find that their party has turned into a web of massacre, meaning it's not going to be easy to cover up the murders.
Munsch tells the Chanels to change (minus Chanel #5, who's still swimming in a puddle of her own blood), but the former dean is up to no good as she asks Zayday to assist.
Munsch wheels a gurney with Denise on it. However, the discovery that Denise is still alive prompts Zayday to stop Munsch from dumping the body.
Munsch reveals bigger plans for Denise, though, with her experimental chamber that's supposed to bring brain-dead patients back, but will it work for this special agent?
Meanwhile, main Chanel is no longer blue. The silver is almost out of her system and she no longer looks like a Smurfette. This allows for Dr. Holt to move in on a “grieving” Chanel, who needs time after what happened to Chad. Give her a couple of hours, she says coyly.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Munsch narrates her interior monologue when an investigation goes underway for the hospital murders. Munsch thinks that not only is the C.U.R.E Institute doomed but also the race to find a cure for her ailing life.
Yet, in a heartbeat, Munsch rejoices with “There is no such thing as bad press.”
The bustling hospital welcomes the onslaught of patients, in particular one who has a problem picking up on different accents.
Despite the thriving press, Chanel and Chanel #3 are still cleaning bed pans and doing the dirty work at the hospital. And when Nurse Hoffel appears to taunt them, the Queen Bee has had enough.
What's life without ordering people around? Chanel comes up with the idea to find pledges to boss around, but Chanel #3 points out that they're not in a sorority anymore. True, but what if Chanel hires people to do the grunt work for them and in the process train them to be Chanel minions?
Zayday, on the other hand, can't get Chamberlain out of her prime suspect list and when she asks Munsch how the hiring process went with the candy striper, Munsch reveals she never hired a candy striper. Munsch had always assumed Chamberlain was Dr. Holt's assistant.
Zayday corrects Munsch, but the head of the institute fires back about how weird it is for a man to volunteer to be a candy striper when the position is normally reserved for a woman.
“You think he might have something to do with mass murders?!” Munsch retorts.
As for the new pledges, Chanel has found new servants/human shields in Chanel #7, Chanel #8 and Chanel Pour-Homme. While #7 and #8 are hospital patients Chanel stole, Chanel Pour-Homme is Tristan, a gay male, who happens to be the Chanels' biggest fan back in prison.
In a comical turn of events, the patient with the Foreign Accent Syndrome has just infected the staff turning Dr. Holt, Dr. Cassidy and Chanel #3 into an accent-speaking bunch.
While making her rounds in the hospital, main Chanel gets scared by Hester who feels hurt that she wasn't asked to be a Chanel again. Much to the surprise of the other Chanels, Hester is back in the squad. Who better to lure a murderer than a former murderer?
The Chanel squad decides on who to use as human sacrifice for the week as bait, but when the plan falls through they're in for a gruesome surprise.
Questions to ponder until the next episode:
-Are you surprised about the sudden influx of Chanels? Does it cheapen the value of the Chanels?
-What do you make of Dr. Holt flirting with Chanel #3?
-With the reveal of Dr. Cassidy having this deep secret, do you think he's the killer or is he collaborating with the killer? What does this mean for him and #3?
-Where did Hester run off to now?
