Kody Brown has a sit down with Mykelti's boyfriend.
Sister Wives' Kody Brown expressed his feelings about Tony Padron's marriage proposal to his daughter with his third wife Christine Brown, on the show's season premiere on Sun., Nov. 27 at Christina's house.
According to US Weekly, Brown is set on making some ground rules for Padron before he plans on marrying his daughter. Padron reveals that he was nervous to approach Brown about the matter of his marriage proposal to his daughter stating, "I mean, who wouldn't be?"
When the two sat down to speak with one another, Brown states that he's happy that Padron had the respect to ask him for his daughter's hand in marriage. While Brown wasn't as open as Padron hoped him to be, he "respect[ed] Kody's wishes."
Since the two grew up with different faiths, Brown wanted to ask Padron for a few request regarding his family.
Brown shares, "I'd like to give you my blessing, but I'd like to give you just a couple requests.… One thing I would like — and this is going to be a hard one for you, I think — I would like your commitment that you would never discourage your children from plural marriage. I would never want my grandchildren being separated from me." Brown then continued to share his thoughts with Padron, "The other thing I'd like you to consider is, I think that you need time before you get married. And I'm thinking more likely 10 months to a year."
While Padron revealed to the camera "I notice that Kody didn't say yes right away, so that was kind of a bummer." He does understand the father's views.
