Hollywood legend, Debbie Reynolds, has passed away at age 84.

This tragedy happened one day after the death of her daughter, actress Carrie Fisher. Her son, Todd Fisher, told Variety that his mother, "wanted to be with Carrie."

Reynolds was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon. According to The Guardian, Fisher said his mother spoke about being "very, very sad" over the loss of her daughter and wanted to be with her.  It was only minutes later that she suffered a stroke.

Before her death, Fisher suffered a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles this past Friday, Dec. 23.

The Los Angeles Times confirmed an ambulance was called to her son's Beverly Hills home after she started to have breathing problems.

Tuesday, she took to Facebook in regards of her daughter's death. Writing, “Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carries Mother.”

The mother and daughter duo were very close. Fisher even memorialized their relationship in her autobiographical novel, Postcards From The Edge.

Condolences began piling on on Twitter as the news broke.
