Mandy Moore opens up about her brothers and her mother being gay.
In an interview with Byrdie earlier this week, Moore candidly spoke about what it was like growing up with a gay mother and two gay brothers in her seemingly traditional family.
The This Is Us star revealed that her family members are much happier being open about their sexuality.
Moore also shared that her family is “exactly where they should be. Everyone’s so much happier, richer, and more fulfilled, being their authentic selves.”
The actress went into detail about this topic which she has never publicly discussed before.
Moore stated that when her parents got divorced, her mother went on to be with another woman. She said that such an unconventional way of growing up has pushed her to create normalcy in her own life with Ryan Adams. The two ended up divorcing earlier this year, but having a family is still on Moore's mind.
Something else that is very important to her is incorporating exercise and vitamins into her daily routine with her current boyfriend Taylor Goldsmith. Moore wants to have a future that includes kids and knows that maintaining her health is key prior to having little ones.
“I always said that I want to take care of myself to the best of my ability before I venture into that phase of my life.”
