Queen Latifah's car was stolen at a gas station just a few days before Christmas.
TMZ reported that the actress' 2015 Mercedes S63 was carjacked when one of her security guards took the vehicle to a gas station in Atlanta to fill up on Dec. 20. While he attempted to pump gas, a BMW pulled up alongside him and someone quickly jumped in the Mercedes, turned on the ignition and fled the scene.
Queen Latifah was not with her security detail when the incident occurred. However, she was reportedly very concerned about some type of contract that was inside her vehicle.
The police were called and found her car at an apartment complex not too far from the gas station where it was taken and the contract was still inside.
Us Weekly noted that this isn't the first time Latifah's car was stolen. In 1995, two teens took her BMW 740i and shot her boyfriend at the time in the stomach. Those thieves were apprehended and charged for the crime.
Authorities are currently working on locating the carjacker of her Mercedes and are hoping the gas station's surveillance will give them a good description of who they are looking for.
