Lately, there have been rumors of a collaboration between singer Selena Gomez and the popular brand, Coach.

Now those rumors that Selena Gomez and Coach were up to something, Coach finally confirmed the collaboration on Friday, Dec. 16.

Not only will Gomez appear in the campaigns, slated for fall 2017, the actress and pop singer will work with the Coach Foundation, which will team up with the organization, Step Up. This is right up the 24-year-old's alley, as she will assist girls in underrepresented communities.

The Texas native will also design a piece with Stuart Vevers for fall, but the New York Times has clarified that it will not be a whole line under the brand.

Gomez released a statement on working with Mr. Vevers, the executive creative director.

"I am so excited to work with Coach and love the clothes and accessories designed by Stuart Vevers." She continued, "I am especially looking forward to getting to know the Coach team as well as becoming involved in the foundation’s support of Step Up."

In addition, she also expressed how special it is to design a piece with Mr. Vevers, as he also showed similar enthusiasm.

"I came at this because I was inspired and excited by the idea of working with a woman I felt I could really identify with at the end of the day," stated Mr. Vevers.

The executive creative director explained the qualities that make Gomez the perfect fit for the brand today.

"At the end of the day, I design for an authentic, honest woman," Mr. Vevers said.  "Selena possesses that ease and that romantic charm and that cool confident attitude — that’s what I’m excited about. At the end of the day, the numbers are not my focus. It’s that this feels organic and right for where we are right now.”

In the past, Gomez has had her own collection, distributed by Kmart. During the summer, she appeared in Louis Vuitton's campaign.
